Two-factor authentication locks your account behind something only you physically hold. This guide walks you through enabling it on chips.gg in under five minutes, and explains what happens if you ever need to reset it.
What you need

Setting up 2FA
Step 1: Open the Security settings
Navigate to Profile > Settings > Security on chips.gg. This is where the 2FA controls live.
Step 2: Generate your QR code and secret key
The page will display a QR code alongside a text secret key. Both do the same job: linking your chips.gg account to your authenticator app.

Step 3: Add your chips.gg account to your authenticator app

Check it worked
The clearest confirmation is functional: log out of chips.gg, then log back in. The platform should prompt you for your 6-digit authenticator code before granting access.

If the activation step failed, the most common cause is an expired PIN. Return to the Security settings page, generate a fresh code from your app, and try again before the 60-second window closes.
